Experience at Marshall

I came to Marshall at the age of seventeen right from high school in Fall 2019. I was enrolled in the Marching Thunder as a flute member. I was fortunate enough to travel and perform around the world. We went to Tampa, Florida for the Gasparilla Bowl and not even two weeks later we traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to London, England. I then applied for leadership coming into the Fall 2020 season and got a position as Flute Leader, but unfortunately due to the pandemic, I have not returned to campus at all. I travel to campus every semester to see the band perform and participate in campus activities. I love that even from another state roughly four hours away, as a distant student, I still get on-campus opportunities.
