Last week, I received the Outstanding Student in Public Relations Award at the 60th Annual Honors College Convocation.
I am so thankful for my experience at Marshall University, specifically in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
Around age 8, I started making “newsletters” for companies I would come up with in my bedroom. I would write about the sales and happy customers before putting them all over my childhood home. I had no clue at the time (and I truly wouldn’t understand until the Fall of 2019), that I was creating strategic communications content. It’s safe to say that when I changed my major for the final time, I knew that I had decided on something I had always wanted to do.
I would like to thank my parents, family, friends, mentors, and professors for helping me reach this point. I humbly accept this award as I approach graduation.
Go Herd!!! 💚
