Research
I am a cardiovascular pharmacologist. The primary research interests in the Rorabaugh lab are 1) understanding the cardiovascular impact of prenatal exposure to methamphetamine, 2) understanding the role of regulator of G protein signaling (RGS) proteins in the heart, and 3) understanding the impact of stress and post-traumatic stress disorder on the heart. A summary of our work in these areas (and relevant publications) is provided below. Our work utilizes in vivo, isolated tissue, and cell culture models.
Impact of prenatal methamphetamine exposure on adult cardiovascular function.
Impact of stress on the ischemic heart.
Function of regulator of G protein signaling (RGS) proteins in the heart.
