Prior to his current assignment, he had stints with the Ford Motor Company and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in Detroit covering five years, with his work pertaining to automotive research and development. Dr. Hua received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, and his research expertise is mainly in dynamics analysis of complex systems, including emerging vehicle and powertrain systems, particulate and powder systems, energy systems, and structural systems. He has been the recipient of multiple awards for his research. We are proud to be a part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Marshall University. The primary interest of our lab is to is to invent new techniques and improve existing techniques for dynamics analysis of complex systems, including emerging vehicle and powertrain systems, particulate and powder systems, energy systems, and structural systems. We strive to develop the cutting-edge models, algorithms, and experiment for understanding the dynamics behavior and enhancing the design and operation of complex systems.
