I was assigned to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/juneharless\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/juneharless\/\">June Harless Center<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/\">Marshall University<\/a> where I directed STEM professional development in school districts throughout West Virginia.  Before coming to WVDE, I was chair of the science department at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cabellschools.com\/cabellmidlandhighschool_home.aspx\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.cabellschools.com\/cabellmidlandhighschool_home.aspx\">Cabell Midland High School.<\/a>   Previously, I was Assessment Director of the West Virginia Department of Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am a certified Master Gardener in West Virginia and Kentucky.  I am also a certified <a href=\"http:\/\/mnofwv.org\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/mnofwv.org\/\">West Virginia Master Naturalist<\/a>. I am proud to be an Admiral in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cherryrivernavy.org\/main.htm\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/www.cherryrivernavy.org\/main.htm\">Cherry River Navy<\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kycolonels.org\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.kycolonels.org\/\">Kentucky Colonel<\/a>.  Each of these organizations has a strong commitment to volunteer service and dedication to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In retirement, I enjoy working on our Central Kentucky property, fishing, gardening, <a href=\"https:\/\/beckelhimerfamily.blogspot.com\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/beckelhimerfamily.blogspot.com\/\">traveling<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geocaching.com\/p\/default.aspx\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.geocaching.com\/p\/default.aspx\">geocaching<\/a>.
